How You Trust Dentist When You Get Different Opinions By Different Dentists}

How do you trust dentist when you get different opinions by different dentists is something that many of us have asked at one point or another about any service. But when its your dentist you’d assume that they would know what they are talking about. We may not like going to the dentist but its something that is essential and we aim for as simple a process as possible.

So if you go to the dentist and they tell you that the surgery or procedures that need to be done are lengthy or expensive you may want to get the opinion of another dentist. Never be worried about telling your dentist this, if they’re genuine then they have nothing to worry about. By doing this you’ll also be able to make a more informed and hopefully wiser choice about what really needs doing to your teeth or gums, if anything at all.

Off you go to another dentist then only to get told that the procedure you need to have done by the first dentist doesn’t have to be that expensive or even worse that it doesn’t really need to be done at all. Now you’re wondering who to believe but there is usually a good reason for the differences. Some dentists may think that an uneven bite merely doesn’t look nice whereas another may feel that it could have a negative affect on the health of your teeth or gums in the long run.

So this is where it boils down to opinion, dentist number one may feel that getting braces will just make your teeth look nicer and isn’t necessary but if the unevenness does start to give you problems physically then they will do something about it, dentist number two may err more on the side of prevention and want to stop any chances of those problems ever occurring.

And now you’re at a point where you need to make a decision, read up and do some research, look online or speak to people who have had similar procedures done. Ask both dentists the same questions, why does it need to be done? Can it be done cheaper or in another less invasive way? You should judge them on the answers they give you and if you feel they are being truthful or if what they say really makes sense or if it sounds like they’re going for the most expensive options.

When you see a second or subsequent dentist that gives you different answers never be afraid to point out to them that another qualified dentist has told you something different. Explain what they said and ask that particular dentist if they can help by explaining why their opinion differs.

Unless it seems very obvious that a dentist is merely out to get your money the main reasons that dentists opinions may differ is that they may have been to different colleges or universities where the training was different. They may even prefer one technique over another such as preferring to use metal braces as opposed to using thin veneers.

So make sure to ask questions, do research and ask others who may go to the same dentists, did they feel like they were being pressurised into spending more than normal? If the answer is yes then its best to avoid that dentist.

Put Your Past Behind You And Get Tattoo Removal}

Monday, December 19th, 2016

We all make choices and later regret at least some of them. Most often you dont have to wear your mistakes on your skin. When you decide you no longer want that tattoo you got a while back it is time to get tattoo removal.

Laser tattoo removal is the most effective way to get rid of the tattoo without damaging the skin under and around the tattoo. The laser works like this, pulses of intense light are designed to affect the tattoo ink and not harm the skin around the tattoo. The laser light fragments the tattoo ink and allows the bodys own metabolic processes to remove the ink. After laser tattoo removal treatment the tattoo will gradually fade.

The degree of difficulty for removing each tattoo is different because it depends on how long you have had the tattoo, the size, the location and the inks that were used. In addition, the skill of the person who gave you the tattoo is also a factor since ink applied at precisely the same depth will be easier to remove.

Tattoo removal treatments last only a few minutes and will likely need to be repeated over several months to complete the tattoo removal. After a tattoo removal treatment the areas will be red and may feel like you have a sun burn. In some cases you will develop a scab. Be gentle with the treatment area and keep it clean. You will notice over the next several weeks that the tattoo will gradually fade.

Go Deep: Yoga Backbends

Saturday, April 23rd, 2016

By Lucas Rockwood

Most yoga students HATE backbends, but desperately want to learn them. The truth is that most yoga teachers also HATE backbends, so often they dont teach them very well or very often.

My backbends used to be really patheticI mean REALLY pathetic.

I went to class every day, asked my teachers for tips, but not much was happening. In full wheel pose (urdhva danurasana), I could only get my head about an inch off the ground, and even that nearly killed me!

Sound familiar?

WHY ARE BACKBENDS SO HARD?

Backbends shouldnt really be called backbends, but instead full body bends because they involved so much more than just your back.

All on its own, your spine has a pretty impressive range of motion, but in order to do a deep backbend, all the muscles and connective tissues that support your spine need to be long and limber.

WHY CANT I BACKBEND DEEPLY?

There are a dozen reasons, honestly, but since I love simplicity, lets focus on the two big areas where people often get stuck: the tops of the legs and the shoulders.

WARNING!

The poses below are super powerful, intense, and potentially dangerous. Read carefully and practice consciously.

HANG MAN (a.k.a whoa!)

This is the simplest, most-powerful shoulder opening stretch Ive ever found. Follow the instructions below carefully.

1 Lie on your belly on the floor

2 Wiggle over to a wall

3 Put the crown of your head against the wall (still lying on your belly)

4 From here, DO NOT move your body forward or backward

5 Reach your hands high up onto the wall (you chest will lift up)

6 Spread your hands apart like Down Dog, drop your head, relax

7 If you dont feel anything, give it a minute!

8 If your hands slip down the wall, walk them up again and relax

9 Stay here for 2-5 minutes TOTALLY RELAXED

Note: DO NOT move closer or further away from the wall doing so stretches a different part of your body.

RECLINING HERO (a.k.a. supta vajrasana)

Everyone I know who has an impressive backbend swears by this posture. Be safe, but if possible, hold this one for a LONG time.

1 Kneel on the floor

2 Knees together, feet apart, sit your bum down between your heals

3 If its too intense at this point, bring your feet together and sit on your heals (skip remaining steps)

4 If your bum is on the floor comfortably, lean back

5 Elbows first, lower your back and head to the floor

6 Grab opposite elbows over your head

7 Relax totally for 2-5 minutes

Looks like this: http://tinyurl.com/yqkzpk

Note: If its too intense to lie back and practice it sitting upright. When you lie back, if your knees start screaming, back off and take it slow! People hurt their knees in this pose every day, so dont be a cowboy. Take it slow and take it easy.

Endodontal And Periodontal Dentists

Endodontal and Periodontal Dentists

by

Lavonna Boback

Periodontal dentist services and Endodontal dentist services who should I choose and what\’s the difference? In short, the difference between these dentists is their dental services focus on where the dental and oral diseases are that they treat and care for. Both periodontal dentist and endodontal dentist are specialized dentists.

Every specialized dentist must go through the general dentistry dental school and then move on to which dentistry specialty the dentist may choose. So, the dental school required for a periodontal dentist and an endodontal dentist is about the same amount of dental school years, just with a different dentistry specialty focus for the dentist student.

A periodontal dentist focuses on services and care for the oral tissues surrounding and supporting the teeth. This means that if a dental patient has any oral gum disease, a general dentist will refer the dental patient to a periodontal dentist for treatment. Sometimes an oral gum disease only takes medication and a change of dental habits, other times a periodontal dentist must do more to help treat this oral problem. Another example of a dental patient being referred to a periodontal dentist is if that dental patient had bone loss. The oral bone structures that the dental teeth sort of anchor themselves to would be treated through the services of a periodontal dentist. One other part of oral tissue that a periodontal dentist will treat is the small oral ligaments that hold the dental teeth in place. These oral ligaments may deteriorate with decay and/or oral disease. A periodontal dentist performs research, treatment, and care for the curing of such dental health problems that occur in the oral tissues surrounding the teeth such as the dental gums, ligaments, and/or oral bone tissues.

On the other dental care hand, the endodontal dentist will care for and provide dental treatment services that involve the inside of teeth. Below the visible dental enamel of teeth there is the dental pulp of the teeth. It is this area of the teeth that an endodontal dentist researches and provides services for problems arising in the inside of teeth. For example, when there is tooth decay or an infection on the inside area of teeth it will usually form an abscess that can be very painful. If a dental patient doesn\’t seek the services of an endodontal dentist immediately, the infection from the inside area of the tooth can easily spread to the blood stream through the inside area of the tooth.

This is why the services of an endodontal dentist are very important to the health of a community. A dentist used to have to extract teeth that had dental infection and dental abscess pain, but now because of new and advanced dental tools and anesthesia an endodontal dentist can perform an oral root canal and the dental patient can keep their teeth. An endodontal dentist uses a drill to drill through the enamel of teeth to get to the inside area of the teeth where the infection is. An endodontal dentist then uses a file to remove any and all local infection from the oral pulp area of the teeth. Then that area that has been hollowed out by infection and now by the endodontal dentist is filled with a dental filling and a cap is put over the area of the tooth where the dental enamel used to be. The dental patient then is back to dental health and is able to keep their teeth thanks to the dentist oral care services!

On the other dental care hand, the endodontal dentist will care for and provide dental treatment services that involve the inside of teeth. Below the visible dental enamel of teeth there is…. Learn more at

Uv Tooth Whitening

Tuesday, September 1st, 2015

Submitted by: Jason Scott Edworthy

When we talk about uv tooth whitening is it using a whitening gel and a sun bed to whiten the teeth or are we are talking about a light based whitening method like zoom or power whitening, here we discuss both points in detail.

Teeth whitening is becoming big news as TV shows have regular makeovers which involve an individual having their teeth whitened so this plus other factors increases the awareness of teeth whitening. Many people are starting to have teeth whitening and when the results are so positive they tell friends and family and then the viral effect takes hold!

When the teeth become dull and yellowish in colour it can take a long time and therefore it is not always something that gets noticed straight away but it can take just one thing to trigger a response that starts to make us aware of the fact our teeth need some whitening. At this point people then start to turn to the internet as start their research and look at the many different options available to whiten the teeth and remove years and years of torrid staining that is inhibiting the smile in some way.

YouTube Preview Image

Some of the sun tanning centers are offering uv tooth whitening and what they mean is placing a whitening strip on the surface of the teeth for the duration of the sun tanning session which can be anything from three to fifteen minutes long. The idea being is that the heat generated from the ultra violet lights will send a heat in the area of the teeth and help speed the process of teeth whitening.

Like many of the DIY kit options these are fine for lighter and surface stains but the heavier deeper stains in the teeth tend to be tougher to remove with these type of systems as the strength of the gel is milder to ensure a safe experience with the gums and soft tissues etc.

The more effective uv tooth whitening system is where a machine with a set of uv lights will gently heat the gel placed of the front surface of the teeth to heat and gently remove the staining in the enamel. Because of the value the heat places in the area of the teeth this can remove deep staining in one hours treatment and just one session required for most people.

This uv tooth whitening system can be more commonly known as laser, zoom or power whitening but many of these systems use a light based method which works on the same methodology described above.

In the main teeth whitening is deemed as a safe treatment as long as it is performed by a competent, trained person or if you are using products approved by local quality standards. For example in Europe there is CE approval which is a recognized standard confirming the product has passed its quality testing.

If you are unsure then speak to your dentist and get their advice of what is best for you and your teeth. Good luck!
